چکیده
X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy of large bandgap or insulating material surfaces relies on an effective mechanism that compensates for the emission (loss) electrons by maintaining surface at a steady-state uniform potential. While may be attained utilizing active compensation, such as low power electron emitting filament, there is possibility potential not over area analyzed, leading to peak shifts and incorrect spectral interpretation. In this work, data processing method based mapping ZrO2 Pd/ZrO2 photoemission binding energy proposed, which provides information about response specific charge compensation. Spectromicroscopy without spatial used monitor efficacy Exploiting counts distributed many bins require use procedures algorithms essential practical positions. Iterative singular value decomposition therefore introduced utilized means efficiently delivering spatially resolved spectra from peaks computed. The concepts developed in work result robust accurate models can applied XPS analysis only but other surfaces. Supporting arguments model representing signal Zr 3p Pd 3d are within presented.

متن کاملSurface analysis of dental amalgams by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction.
OBJECTIVES It is important to characterize the surface of dental amalgam in order to understand the process of mercury release from amalgam restorations in the oral cavity. The mercury evaporation occurs not only from the newly made restoration but also from the set material. METHODS The surfaces of four different types of amalgams, which had been well set, were analyzed with X-ray photoelect...
